Overview
Registered Nurse – Oncology (Med/Surg focus) travel assignment in Geneva, NY. Start date: 08/03/2026 for a 26-week contract with a 3x12 rotating shift schedule. The assignment is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting, on a medical-surgical service catering to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults, adolescents, and older adults with medical conditions within a medical-surgical service.
- Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized plan of care with the interdisciplinary team, and monitor progress.
- Administer medications, perform routine procedures, and ensure infection prevention standards are followed.
- Educate patients and families about self-care, disease management, and discharge planning to support continuity of care at home.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses; participate in quality improvement activities and professional development.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, peers, and other members of the health care team; advocate for patient safety and comfort.

Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI preferred), NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years of med/surg nursing experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment and participate in a rotating 3x12 shift schedule, including holidays
- Eligibility to work in the United States; willingness to adhere to unit standards and hospital policies
