McCoy Construction & Forestry, a premier John Deere dealership group with 25 locations across the Midwest and East South-Central regions, is seeking a motivated and experienced Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department at our La Vergne, Tennessee, location.


As the Parts Manager, you will oversee all aspects of parts operations, including inventory management, purchasing, pricing, customer service, and team leadership. Success in this role requires a commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, employee development, and achieving departmental profitability goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):

• Lead, coach, and develop Parts Department employees.

• Monitor customer demand and workload to ensure exceptional service levels.

• Oversee inventory control processes to maximize parts availability while minimizing excess inventory.

• Manage parts purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory investments to achieve profitability targets.

• Establish and maintain efficient departmental workflows and operating procedures.

• Collaborate with Service, Sales, and Management teams to support business objectives.

• Ensure a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

• Maintain regular and reliable on-site attendance.

Education, Skills & Knowledge Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Agriculture, Construction, Forestry, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Previous leadership experience in Parts, Equipment, Construction, Agricultural, Forestry, Heavy Equipment, or related industries.

• Experience managing inventory, purchasing, and departmental performance metrics.

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.

• Mathematical aptitude, including basic algebra and geometry.
