We Are Hiring: Full-Time Remote Courier Dispatcher

## Position Overview

Express Errands & Courier is hiring an experienced **Remote Courier Dispatcher** to join our operations team and manage our growing final-mile delivery operations.

You will coordinate independent contractor drivers, monitor active routes, resolve delivery issues, communicate with clients and drivers, and ensure routes are completed accurately and on time.

We are looking for someone who can **work independently, stay calm under pressure, solve problems quickly, and take ownership of issues without constant supervision.**

**Minimum requirement: 3 years of relevant dispatch experience** with a courier, delivery, transportation, or final-mile logistics company.

## Key Responsibilities

* Dispatch and manage independent contractor drivers remotely
* Monitor driver locations, routes, stops, and delivery progress
* Confirm drivers are logged in and ready for scheduled routes
* Follow up on late drivers, missed stops, callouts, and delivery exceptions
* Reassign routes and secure backup drivers when needed
* Communicate professionally with drivers, clients, and management
* Verify proof of delivery, photos, signatures, labels, and required documentation
* Monitor route performance and address problems before they become service issues
* Maintain accurate dispatch records and end-of-day reports
* Escalate serious service or safety concerns promptly
* Ensure drivers follow client-specific instructions and service requirements
* Hold drivers accountable for scheduled pickups, deliveries, and documentation
* Find practical solutions when unexpected operational issues arise

## Requirements

* **3+ years of courier, delivery, transportation, or final-mile dispatch experience**
* Experience managing multiple drivers and active routes simultaneously
* Experience handling driver callouts, delays, missed stops, and last-minute changes
* Strong understanding of GPS tracking, proof-of-delivery requirements, and dispatch systems
* Excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
* Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to prioritize multiple issues while maintaining attention to detail
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Reliable high-speed internet and phone service
* Reliable computer capable of running web-based dispatch platforms
* Quiet, professional remote workspace
* Availability **Thursday–Monday, 3:00 PM–12:00 AM ET**, including weekends

## Preferred Qualifications

* Experience dispatching independent contractor drivers
* Experience with retail parcel, medical courier, or final-mile delivery operations
* Familiarity with Shipday or similar delivery-management software
* Experience preparing route, driver, or operational performance reports
* Experience managing client-specific delivery requirements
