Investment Banking Media & Communications Senior Associate / Vice President - Los Angeles (Los Angeles)

Our Los Angeles office is looking for an experienced Senior Associate or Vice President to join the Media & Communications team. The role involves working across high‑profile transactions in M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets. Responsibilities include financial analysis, valuation, client materials and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4‑6+ years of relevant experience within the investment banking industry, or an MBA with 3+ years of experience, with a proven track record on complex executed deals across M&A and various industry sectors
• Experience in the media, digital or technology industry is strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication, client and interpersonal skills
• Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA and/or CFA designation would be an asset
• Series licensing required or must obtain

Benefits & Compensation

Expected base pay rates for the role are between $175,000 and $225,000 per year for a Senior Associate, and between $250,000 and $275,000 per year for a Vice President, at the commencement of employment. Base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
