Immigration Paralegal needed in our Miami, Brickell office! The Corporate Immigration Paralegal (CIP) is a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy professional with experience in immigration law firms, departments, or corporate immigration functions. This role requires the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The CIP possesses knowledge of USCIS, CBP, USDOL, and USDOS procedures, National Visa Center processing, consular processing, Labor Certification (PERM), and both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa and Adjustment of Status (AOS) processes. The CIP will be responsible for tracking and recording all billable and non-billable time. Certificate in Paralegal Studies preferred. At least three years of U.S. Immigration experience within a law firm with demonstrated knowledge of complex business immigration issues. Experience interacting with U.S. Departments of Labor, State, Justice, and Homeland Security, as well as their sub-agencies and organizations, required. Duties And Responsibilities Demonstrate strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and client processes. Prepare schedules, case reports, and other necessary documentation. Participate in conference calls with attorneys and clients. Analyze, prepare, and draft non-immigrant visas, including TN-1, TN-2, E-1&2, E-3, H-1B, H-1B1, L-1A&B, B-1/B-2, O-1A/O-2/O-3, P-1/O-1B/Q, I, J-1, J/O, F-1, and H-2B visas. Draft and file labor condition applications (LCA). Resolve client registration and processing issues. Assist lawyers in obtaining immigrant visas on behalf of clients. Stay updated on recent changes in immigration laws and procedures. Manage labor certifications, including recruitment and submission to DOL. Prepare and file immigrant visa petitions for various categories, including IR1, CR1, K-3, K-1, IR3, IH3, IR4, IH4, F1, F2A, F2B, F3, F4, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-4, multinational executives, outstanding professors, exceptional ability visas, healthcare professionals, special immigrants, and employment-related family immigrant visas. Handle family-based petitions such as I-130, I-485, I-131, and I-175. Draft RFEs and PERM Audit responses. Prepare and assemble binders for submission to government and clients. Maintain templates for submissions and ensure uniformity with filing. Communicate with clients to receive case-relevant documentation. Copy, scan, and upload packages for filing, including NIV and IV filings, withdrawals, and PERM Audit responses. Navigate the case management system to update processes and information. Prepare approval packages and ship original approval notices. Add USCIS notices and other correspondence to files. Send calendar reminders regarding PERM expiration dates. Process and maintain contacts, conference calls, and follow-ups. Assist with mail and correspondence, ensuring scanning and updating expiration reports. Track and maintain Bar and other professional memberships. Track and record all billable and non-billable time. Receive and organize mail and government correspondence, including preparing FedEx labels. Open new clients, facilitate running conflicts, and open matters. Maintain oversight of individual and paralegal caseloads to ensure timely completion of work. Manage various administrative duties, maintain case management database, and direct client contact. Create and maintain reports as needed. Contact USCIS and U.S. consulates/embassies to schedule visa appointment interviews. Assist in client intakes, prepare client mailings, and submissions to various immigration offices. Liaise with government agencies (DOL, USCIS, NVC) to troubleshoot issues as necessary. Assist with other department activities as needed and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
