Plant Operator

Job purpose Operate and support crushing plant operations to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality materials. This role is responsible for monitoring plant performance, completing inspections, and supporting overall plant operations in a team environment. Duties and responsibilities Operate crushing plant equipment to support safe and efficient production. Assist with operation of primary and secondary crushing systems as needed. Perform pre- and post-shift inspections of plant equipment. Monitor plant operations to maintain production levels and quality standards. Track production data and complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures and comply with applicable regulations, including MSHA requirements. Communicate effectively with team members to support plant operations. Maintain plant equipment and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Perform general labor tasks as needed to support plant operations. Work extended and non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, as required. Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Knowledge of Crushing plant operations and equipment. MSHA regulations and safe work practices. Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Computer systems used for plant operations and production tracking. Ability to Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently. Follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Monitor and adjust operations to maintain production quality and efficiency. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Adapt to changing work conditions and operational needs. Qualifications Ability to work safely in a production environment. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to follow directions and perform assigned tasks. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Minimum of 1 year of aggregate or related experience preferred. Physical requirements Constant (67-100%) required to climb stairs and ladders. Constant (67-100%) required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Frequently (34-66%) required to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently (34-66%) required to work in field environments with exposure to dust, noise, and extreme weather conditions.
