Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that center on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to process their trauma and cultivate coping strategies.

  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and integrated care for all clients.

  • Provide crisis intervention and timely support during trauma-related emergencies, responding to clients' immediate needs with care and professionalism.

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery journey.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

  • Participate in ongoing case consultations and professional development activities emphasizing trauma-informed care and best practices.

  • Stay current with emerging research and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Addiction Counseling, LLC, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals struggling with the aftermath of traumatic experiences. Our clients may present with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, allowing you to apply your expertise in trauma-focused therapy to help them navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling building rapport with patients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.

  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, demonstrating resilience and professionalism.

  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.

  • A commitment to working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to collective patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, we welcome therapists who possess a strong foundation in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Experience in utilizing modalities such as EMDR is highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
