Job Type: Temp to hire Job Summary We are building a talent pool of forklift operators for a client with openings in South Fulton and Austell. These are day shift, temp-to-hire roles starting at $18/hr. Operators of all types are encouraged to apply, including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, and order picker. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to load and unload trucks
- Move, stack, and stage pallets and materials throughout the warehouse
- Put away and retrieve product from racking
- Pull and stage orders for shipping
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any issues
- Keep aisles, docks, and work areas clear and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines
- Scan and verify product to keep counts and paperwork accurate
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Ability to work a day shift schedule reliably
- Ability to work safely around pedestrians and moving equipment
- Reliable transportation to South Fulton or Austell
- Interest in a temp-to-hire opportunity
- Current forklift certification
- Experience on more than one equipment type (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, order picker)
- RF scanner or warehouse management system experience
- Prior warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
