This contract role is perfect for a Licensed Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school setting. With a focus on serving diverse learners, you’ll float between multiple sites, including W.R. Odell and Mary Frances Wall Center, providing essential services as part of an itinerant schedule. The position runs full-time during a maternity leave coverage, with assignments starting as soon as possible and tentatively extending through the end of January 2027.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy license (please provide a current snapshot when applying)
• Experience delivering occupational therapy in K-12 schools
• Proficiency with ECATS or similar special education case management systems
• Capability to work independently on an itinerant basis, traveling between school locations
• Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
• Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
• Document services provided and maintain accurate student records within ECATS
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to optimize educational access and student participation
• Participate in meetings and provide support across assigned school sites
