About This Role

As a Lead Teacher, you will run the daily activities in the classroom, plan lesson activities, and guide your teaching team. You will help young children grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically by keeping them safe, engaged, and learning every day. You will also build strong relationships with children, guide assistant teachers, and communicate clearly with parents.

Plan & Teach: Implement fun, age-appropriate lessons and activities based on early learning standards to help kids learn and grow.

Lead the Team: Be a role model for teacher assistants and volunteers, guiding them and making sure everyone follows the daily schedule and safety rules.

Connect with Parents: Keep parents up to date on their child’s progress through regular chats, formal reports, and parent-teacher meetings.

Keep Kids Safe & Healthy: Maintain a clean, safe, and secure classroom that follows all center policies and state health regulations.

Stay Organized: Keep up-to-date classroom records, files, and paperwork.

Keep Learning: Take ongoing training to improve your skills and professional knowledge.

At least 1 years of professional experience working with children.

High energy and a positive, team-first attitude.

Good communication skills (written and spoken) and basic computer skills.

Strong understanding of child development and good leadership skills.

Ability to pass a background check and a health screening.
