- Variety in practice settings , including early intervention, preschool, residential, day habilitation, and clinic services
- Dynamic scope of practice beyond direct therapy, influencing daily routines, communication systems, and mealtime supports across environments
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, communication, and swallowing
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each person's goals
- Provide engaging, functional therapy that supports real-world communication
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Train and mentor staff in communication strategies, adaptive supports, and safe swallowing practices
- Participate in team meetings, home visits, and program consultations
- Design supports that integrate communication into everyday life-not just therapy sessions

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- New York State SLP license or eligibility (Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply)
- Experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred, but not required
- Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation
