About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Hazard, Kentucky, 41701!

Job Title: Step Down Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of previous Step Down/PCU experience required License: Must have active KY or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted. Medical and religious exemptions approved on a case-by-case basis. - Float required within scope of practice; every other weekend required. - Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated. Description: Staffing ratios of 1-4/5. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. All facilities work a schedule of 36/48 for the two weeks pay period unless noted otherwise. Ratios can fluctuate with census, call-in, etc. No time-off requests edits accepted once an offer has been made. No timecard edits accepted once the pay period closes. Resource must reside 75 miles from the facility to be considered. Assignment confirmation needs to be completed within 24 hours of accepting the offer. A valid driver's license is required for submission packets. Candidates cannot be submitted to more than one job at a time. Previous Charge Experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience of 5 is necessary. Charting system experience is preferred. Ability to manage multiple patient assignments. Experience in telemetry and cardiac nursing. Skills in managing various medical procedures and equipment. Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills are essential for patient care and team collaboration. Candidate must be able to provide documentation of certifications and references. Compliance with background policy is essential. Candidates with license hits or background check issues must be disclosed upfront. No extensions will be permitted without a minimum break period of six months after one year of service.
