Dental Assistant - Temp (Up to 40 hours/week)

Generations Family Health Center, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center covering a 37-town rural region in eastern Connecticut with sites located in Willimantic, Danielson, Putnam and Norwich. We are expanding our team and welcome Dental Assistants to join our dedicated staff. As a Dental Assistant with Generations, you have the opportunity to support dental care for patients of all ages.

Dental Locations: Willimantic & Putnam, CT

Responsibilities: The Dental Assistant will:

• assist with coordination of patient flow
• prepare patients for examination and procedures
• Responsible for chair-side assistance during examination and treatment of patients (e.g., performing four-handed dentistry, evacuation, retracing, mixing material and exchanging instruments)
• Responsible for cleaning and sterilizing dental equipment
• keeping inventory of dental supplies
• some administrative functions, such as filing of lab reports/lab tracking and scanning, contacting patients regarding appointments

Qualifications:

• Completion of Dental Assistant training program (certificate/diploma) OR 3 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
• DANB (Dental Assistant National Board) certifications:
• Infection Control (ICE) – including maintenance of CT infection control continuing education requirement
• Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) training
• CPR certification
