Your goals, ideas and perspective can help shape our future – we look forward to hearing them!Essential Duties And Responsibilities Includes The Following:Other duties may be assigned:Ensures engineering drawings, maintenance procedures and technical information are kept up to date.Confers with the engineering department and recommends design or material changesDevelops and/or updates maintenance SOP's, strategies and standardsIdentifies safety hazards for both maintenance and production employee's and develops appropriate actions.Identify and implement process equipment improvements utilizing reliability-based maintenance philosophyProvide direction to maintenance associates and contract laborWork with planners/scheduler to develop detailed shutdown work plansOptimize spares holding levels, develop efficient supply contracts and minimize stock holding costsDevelop & organize training programs for maintenance associates that apply to operations, maintenance and safetyCarries out root cause analysis on equipment failures and takes appropriate measures to prevent failures from reoccurringPromotes the use of rational process in problem solving and decision makingDevelops capital requests, cost justifications and project managementImplement standardization of HMIs and PLCs, to include training, and supporting technical specificationsEstablishing repair priorities through communications with the operating departments, line maintenance associates and plannersDetermining whether to buy new or repairCommunicating with vendors for the purpose of timely repairsCreating Work orders and MSO's as neededDetermining most cost-effective repair methodDocumentation of activities and status in the work ordersCommunicating with Engineers where design changes may be required because of repetitive repairsKeeping Planners informed as to status of equipment repairReviewing the addition of Spare and Bulk partsTaking on Maintenance Excellence Projects to improve efficiencyResearching purchasing department spare part procurement problemsReviewing PM's for best efficiency as per RCM methodsHandling repairable spare storeroom itemsExecuting inspection of storeroom fabricated partsAssisting Engineers with Maintenance and Engineering infrastructure improvements Promoting common spare partsAssist in other functions as directedThe preceding job responsibilities and tasks were designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates in this job.
