ABM - Facility Services
Job Description The Supervisor serves as the main point of communication between team members, clients, and customers. They are responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and administrative activities to ensure conformance to contract requirements. They develop and implement cost‑control measures and service‑level standards to meet customer specifications and contract requirements for the assigned building. They also oversee inspections, quality control measures, and inventory control of equipment and supplies. Responsibilities Coordinate work assignments Oversee and perform cleaning operations in the assigned building Manage the security of keys and access cards for the property Provide onboarding and coordinate training for all new hires Capable of standing and moving for long periods of time Capable of lifting and moving items up to 20 lbs Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and equipment Notify the Facility Manager of the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co‑workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities Ensure that services are performed as contracted and at the intended profit margins Troubleshoot potential problems and concerns Manage the company’s quality‑control monitoring and safety programs at the assigned buildings Conduct quality‑of‑service inspections at assigned buildings Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all federal, state, and local government regulations Ensure that all paperwork, including terminations, labor‑variance action plans, and operational models, is complete, accurate, and submitted to the district/hub promptly Analyze and manage, in a proactive manner, both the financial and operational performance of the assigned buildings Ensure that payroll is accurate and submitted to the appropriate payroll personnel promptly, and correct any payroll discrepancies when applicable Manage and provide leadership to Lead personnel assigned to the buildings Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of personnel within the assigned building. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws Direct, appraise, reward, and discipline employees; address complaints, resolve problems, and terminate employees as necessary Have a working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and chemical handling/storage procedures Must be able to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers Basic Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older 1 year of similar work in a service/customer‑oriented environment Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Safety toe shoes required (composite or steel toe) with slip‑resistant soles Preferred Qualifications 3 years of similar work experience Equal Employment Opportunity ABM is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer that does not discriminate on the basis of any trait or characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law, including disability and protected veteran status.
