Independent Contractor - Professional Development Facilitator

Marzano Evaluation Center, Instructional Empowerment Professional Development Facilitator Independent Contract Work Instructional Empowerment seeks educators across the nation with evaluator experience in using the Marzano Evaluation system tools and strategies to communicate and implement high quality teaching action across a District. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of the Marzano strategies as an evaluation tool as well as a core understanding of how the strategies impact academic achievement for students. The optimum candidate has experience facilitating large professional development workshops with high accountability to participant learning outcomes. Facilitators serve as Independent Contractors and work when invited based on their availability. Applicants should be available for approximately 5 days per month during the week and must be able to travel on overnight trips to provide the professional learning. Applicants should have a strong capacity for data analysis to assist leaders in action planning and school improvement. The professional development components may include: Onsite professional learning sessions Small group coaching /instructional rounds Virtual sessions Small group instruction on using the iObservation tool for data collection Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience as a school/district administrator in a K-12 system Deep knowledge of the Marzano Strategies (Preference for experience with the Marzano Evaluation System) with experience as an evaluator Expertise as a professional development facilitator Ability to work weekdays approximately 5+ days per month Ability to travel overnight to school locations Applicants may live anywhere in the United States to be considered for this position.
