Put Away Associate (6:00 AM 2:30 PM)

This role supports the shipping department by safely and efficiently putting away products in a fast-paced warehouse environment during the 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift. You work as part of a team while your individual productivity and accuracy are tracked, contributing directly to smooth shipping operations and accurate inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Receive products from the shipping or receiving areas and accurately put away items in designated warehouse locations.
• Use RF scanners to scan, track, and confirm product locations and inventory movements.
• Handle pallets, including moving, staging, and organizing full and empty pallets in the shipping department.
• Navigate narrow aisles and shared spaces safely while working alongside other team members and equipment operators.
• Support order picking and returns processing as needed to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
• Follow all safety procedures when working around electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in the shipping department.
• Walk continuously at a fast pace throughout the shift to complete assigned put away tasks on time.
• Lift, carry, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds independently, potentially for most of the shift.
• Use a 12-foot staircase ladder when required to access elevated storage locations, following safety guidelines.
• Comply with all warehouse policies, including restrictions on personal electronic devices in the work area.

Essential Skills

• 06 months of related experience in a warehouse, material handling, shipping, receiving, or inventory control role.
• Ability to walk at a fast pace for 812 hours per day on a consistent basis.
• Ability to independently lift and carry up to 50 pounds, potentially for 812 hours per day.
• Comfort working at heights when using a 12-foot staircase ladder.
• Basic familiarity with warehouse operations such as receiving, returns, shipping, and order picking.
• Ability to use RF scanners to support inventory control and product tracking.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate put away and inventory placement.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while meeting individual performance expectations.
• Commitment to following safety procedures in a busy warehouse environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a material handler, order picker, or in a shipping and receiving role.
• Experience working with pallets and palletized products in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices and processes.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, physically demanding work environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliability, including consistent on-time attendance for the 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shift.

Work Environment

You work in a busy warehouse shipping department surrounded by pallets full of product and empty pallets laid out on the floor, with narrow aisles and several other team members working nearby. Certified operators use electric pallet jacks, and you must remain alert and safety-focused while moving through shared spaces. The role requires continuous walking at a fast pace and frequent lifting throughout an 812 hour shift. Personal electronic devices such as cellphones and smartwatches are not permitted in the warehouse, ensuring focus on safety and productivity. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, providing protection and support in an active, industrial environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
