Aircraft Pneumatic Systems Mechanic

Duties As an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULICS MECHANIC, WG-8268-10, you will:

• Perform leak checks of aircraft fuel systems by visual inspection or by removal of panels
• Repair, reassemble, and install fuel system components
• Perform operational and functional checks to ensure proper operation
• Participate in various types of readiness evaluations

• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period

Qualifications General Experience: Experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. Specialized Experience: Must have at least 18 months of specialized experience which demonstrates basic electrical and mechanical principles.

• Fabricating fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines
• Servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing, and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Diagnosing trouble and determining remedies
• Mechanic repairs using hand tools and test equipment
• Demonstrating the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications
