Experienced Roadway Engineer D R Consultants & Designers, Inc - Los Angeles, CA An EEO employer, specializing in the design and engineering of roads, streets, highways, mass transit, and bridges for safe and efficient movement of goods and people throughout the Los Angeles region for 40 years. We are seeking a Roadway Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience, including expertise with Civil 3D. Depending on experience, we pay up to $180,000 per year for an excellent roadway engineer. Duties & Responsibilities Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided. Assists in the development of project specifications. Responsible for development of discipline‑specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans. Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members. Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members. Works closely with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects. Performs quality control reviews of discipline‑specific engineering project elements/deliverables. Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Proficiency using Civil 3D, Bentley design platforms (OpenRoads & GEOPAK) Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with AASHTO and CA DOT design guidelines, policies, and practices Experience on roadway and street improvement projects; LABOE experience a plus.
