Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Based in Billerica, MA, we are an industry leader designing and manufacturing advanced thermal management and cooling equipment for customers operating in highly technical and mission-critical environments.

We're seeking a process-driven Manufacturing Engineer with experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, lean manufacturing, and new product introductions. This role will support production operations, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and help bring new products into manufacturing while partnering closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and production teams.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical resource on the manufacturing floor, driving rapid resolution of production issues and root cause corrective actions
• Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for electro-mechanical assembly and testing operations, including cooling systems and fluid handling equipment
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by providing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) input and coordinating prototype builds
• Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects focused on waste reduction, workflow optimization, quality, and productivity improvements
• Manage facility upgrades, capital equipment projects, tooling development, automation initiatives, and electronic data collection improvements
• Create and maintain work instructions, routings, training materials, process documentation, ECNs, and manufacturing standards while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process improvement, and electro-mechanical assembly environments
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and corrective action methodologies
• Ability to read engineering drawings, perform tolerance analysis, and develop manufacturing processes and work instructions
• Experience working cross-functionally with production, engineering, quality, planning, and supply chain teams
