As an IT Project Manager, you will play a key role in advancing Charter's strategic digital initiatives. You'll partner closely with business unit and functional leaders to lead multiple large-to-medium, high-impact projects that drive enterprise transformation.

This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable leader who thrives in complex environments, excels at influencing without authority, and enjoys turning strategy into execution across both business and technology teams.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and deliver enterprise-level digital initiatives aligned to Charter's annual priorities and long-term strategic goals.
  • Partner with digital leadership and key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, success criteria, and governance.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including communication, risk mitigation, and change management strategies.
  • Plan, monitor, and control scope, schedule, budget, quality, and vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide clear, executive-level project status updates to sponsors, leadership, and steering committees.
  • Proactively identify risks, manage scope changes, and develop contingency plans to keep projects on track.
  • Secure and negotiate project resources—both internal and external—ensuring the right talent is aligned to project needs.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and strong results.
  • Conduct project post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned to continuously improve Charter's project delivery capabilities.
  • Educate and guide stakeholders on Charter's project management methodologies, fostering consistency and best practices.
  • Ensure all work aligns with Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale business and technology projects, such as system implementations or enterprise initiatives.
  • Proven success delivering projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple business functions (Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, etc.).
  • Experience delivering solutions across a wide range of technologies (ERP, web platforms, middleware, infrastructure, upgrades).
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Clarity, MS Project, Jira, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with situational awareness, adapting style to different stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organizational awareness, negotiation skills, and financial acumen.
  • Ability to influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Commitment to servant leadership, mentoring teams and strengthening delivery capabilities across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degree.
  • 7+ years of experience managing large, complex business and technology initiatives.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working across diverse organizations (industry and company size).
  • Direct experience supporting or leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders (COEs, BRMs, portfolio leaders).
  • Scrum Master experience.
  • PMP certification.
