Job Description

As a Maintenance Supervisor , you will lead the maintenance team responsible for keeping our production equipment and facility operating safely and efficiently. You'll work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Plant Leadership to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement throughout the plant.

Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities

● Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians while creating a positive, accountable work environment.

● Equipment Reliability: Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.

● Troubleshooting: Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions to reduce recurring issues.

● Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate daily maintenance priorities, manage work orders, and ensure maintenance activities support production schedules.

● Safety & Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and company safety standards.

● Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, maintenance processes, and overall operational efficiency.

● Communication: Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Plant Leadership to prioritize work, communicate equipment status, and support plant objectives.

● Facilities & Utilities: Help maintain plant utilities, facility infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable day-to-day operations.

Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications

● Previous leadership experience in an industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment.

● Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience supporting manufacturing equipment.

● Electrical troubleshooting experience and working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment is preferred.

● Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.

● Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

● Strong communication skills with the ability to work across Production, Quality, Engineering, and Plant Leadership.

● Positive leadership style with a passion for developing people and building strong teams.

● Experience in food manufacturing is preferred but not required.

● Flexibility to support off-shift production needs, weekends, or emergency maintenance situations when necessary.

● Proactive mindset focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement.
