GTS Pipeline Compliance Integrity Engineer I - Starting Range: $74,000 - $100,000Entry-level engineering position. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required for all levels, with a preference of Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Metallurgical Engineering.GTS Pipeline Compliance Integrity Engineer II - Starting Range: $76,400 - $114,600Mid-level engineering position. Requires 2-3+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrates a working knowledge of pipeline integrity management requirements, risk assessment methodologies, and applicable regulations and industry standards. Contributes independently to integrity programs, assessments, compliance activities, and cross-functional projects. Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.GTS Pipeline Compliance Integrity Engineer III - Starting Range: $86,000 - $129,000Mid-to-senior-level engineering position. Requires 5-7+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrates expertise in pipeline integrity management, risk modeling, regulatory compliance, and integrity assessment programs. Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities. Leads integrity initiatives, develops procedures and program improvements, and provides technical guidance to others. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.GTS Pipeline Compliance Integrity Engineer Sr - Starting Range: $95,500 - $143,300Senior-level engineering position. Requires 8-10+ years of experience demonstrating advanced expertise in pipeline integrity management and regulatory compliance. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is strongly preferred and may be required for specific roles. Demonstrates strategic expertise in integrity engineering and the ability to align integrity programs with organizational safety, reliability, and compliance objectives. Recognized as a subject matter expert in pipeline integrity management, risk assessment methodologies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Leads complex integrity initiatives, mentors engineers, and serves as a key technical resource during regulatory audits and compliance activities.About this position:The Pipeline Integrity Engineer develops, maintains, and implements integrity management programs for NorthWestern Energy's gas transmission system. About this job: Maintain the Transmission Integrity Management Plan (TIMP) and developing processes and procedures to improve performance of the transmission system integrity program and integrity compliance requirements to ensure compliance with 49CFR192 Subpart O and Canadian OPRDevelop and maintain pipeline risk model, determine risk threats, capture threat information, and compile and evaluate the risks utilizing system data, system trends, and industry informationAssist with Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure Reconfirmation programDevelop, maintain, and execute a program for assessments outside of High Consequence AreasEvaluate pipeline risk and threats and risk model to determine the appropriate inspection and/or mitigation actionsParticipate in field pipeline integrity inspections as allowed and required by 49CFR192 Subpart O/ Canadian OPR that may include indirect assessment, direct assessment, inline inspections, etc. Assist with growing the GIS system and integrity functionality that may include reviewing GIS data, improve collection process and procedures.Develop procedures for integrity projects that may include bypassing, purging, commissioning, shutdown and inspection of transmission pipeline systemsAssist with Montana/South Dakota and Canadian regulatory audits Construct applicable integrity reports and documentsShould possess a working knowledge of pipeline processes (i.e. Pipeline operation, design, construction, etc.), integrity management principles and practices, industry standards and best practices (CFR, ASME, API, AMPP/NACE, CFR, CSA, etc.). Working around heavy equipment - including walking around excavators, side booms, mini-excavators, backhoes, etc. while they are working and/or positioning equipment.
