Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Acute Care Float

Location

Knoxville, TN | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a float RN, with unit assignments determined by nursing supervisor based on staffing needs
• Float across a wide range of acute care units including medical, surgical, oncology, neurology, cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, orthopedics, trauma, and observation
• Deliver care in alignment with unit-specific patient ratios, typically 1:6
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR
• Fulfill every-other-weekend scheduling requirement
• Participate in onsite orientation and complete required non-billable modules as directed by the Nurse Educator

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a valid compact/multi-state RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required
• Ability to float across multiple acute care units as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in telemetry, cardiac, or high-acuity medical-surgical environments
• Comfort and adaptability working across diverse specialty units including oncology, neurology, trauma, and vascular care
• Prior travel nursing experience considered
