Night Auditor Manager - Hourly

Location: The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club, UC Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, Colorado. Job Overview The Night Auditor Supervisor will oversee all night operations, ensuring financial controls, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising night accounting staff, managing front‑desk procedures, performing nightly audits, and maintaining accurate reporting to hotel leadership. Key Responsibilities Audit, balance, and report on all financial operations, including food & beverage outlets, rooms, front desk, and gift shop. Supervise the night accounting team, including hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, performance reviews, and discipline as needed. Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring compliance with financial controls, SOPs, and quality service standards. Prepare and maintain the computerized accounting system, perform daily and weekly backups, and ensure accurate, smooth operations. Respond promptly to guest complaints and resolve issues to maintain high customer satisfaction. Implement emergency procedures and maintain preparedness to protect guests, staff, and assets. Prepare reports and communications for the Controller and Hotel Executive Committee on night‑time operations. Audit, balance, and process front‑desk activities, including room charges, phone calls, folio adjustments, and cash handling. Run final night audit to confirm all revenues are balanced. Greet guests, perform check‑in and check‑out procedures, and maintain guest relations via telephone and in‑person interactions. Operate PBX equipment, schedule wake‑up calls, and provide prompt service to guests. Qualifications Education/Training: One to two years of post‑high school education. Experience: One to two years of night audit supervisory experience or a related position. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of accounting and hospitality practices. Familiarity with hotel and company policies and ability to enforce them. Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate data and provide recommendations. Decision‑making ability based on general policies and procedures. Supervisory skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; good telephone etiquette. Excellent auditory and vision skills for screen operation. Strong comprehension and literacy for reading folios and accounts. Physical Demands Lifting and carrying files/papers up to 25 lbs. Must be able to move around the hotel and assist during emergency situations. No continuous standing required. Occasional climbing or driving may be required.
