Direct Support Professional

Our person‑centered team helps clients build skills, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential. Position Overview Position Type: Non‑exempt, full‑time or part‑time, hourly role. Scope of Role: Provide direct support within a single program or unit; typically supporting 4–6 residents in a residential setting or up to 10 residents in periodic programs. Key Responsibilities Deliver support in accordance with individual service or program plans, including socialization, health maintenance, medication administration and skill/behavioral development. Assist with daily activities: personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, community integration, shopping, citizenship, and other activities of daily living. Accurately document progress and activity; review records and logs to stay abreast of changes in service plans. Maintain confidentiality and uphold the rights of people served. Report abuse, neglect or incidents in accordance with internal and external standards. Follow safety policies, participate in safety training and report hazards. Participate in orientation, ongoing training and monthly staff meetings. Work scheduled hours, arrive on time and remain until shift ends or replacement arrives. Respond to emergencies, including calling 911 and following health care directives. Assist with meal preparation and compliance with dietary plans. Maintain proper vehicle use and report accidents immediately when providing transportation. Perform daily and seasonal housekeeping and maintenance tasks, including yard upkeep and minor repairs. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). At least six months of experience in human services (preferred). Minimum age 18. Valid driver’s license in good standing and, when required, vehicle registration and insurance. Completion of all state‑required training and certification(s) within mandated timeframes. Computer proficiency. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently or 20 pounds constantly. Compliance with drug testing and criminal background checks as required by the state. Agreement to have background checks against regulatory registries as required. Mobile Punch Authorized (MPA) for timekeeping.
