In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who are Deaf and have additional support needs. Responsibilities: Provide daily living support and personal care assistance to individuals who are Deaf and have developmental or physical disabilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks Facilitate community integration and accompany clients to appointments, outings, and social activities Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately Communicate effectively with Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals using ASL or other preferred communication methods Collaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure client well-being Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations Requirements: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a direct support role preferred American Sign Language (ASL) skills strongly preferred or willingness to learn Knowledge of or experience with the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community is a plus Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and health screening Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire About Us: Antonio's DeafPlus Supported Living is a specialized supported living agency in Escondido, CA, dedicated to serving individuals who are Deaf and have additional support needs.
