Communications Advisor

:

• Under minimal supervision plans, develops, implements and evaluates effective large communication efforts including strategy development, content determination, creative direction, research, writing, editing and validation.
• Recommends project budgets and forecasts anticipated budget spending.
• Coaches others in less senior positions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Five (5) years directly related experience.
• Demonstrated experience in institutional or corporate communications with an emphasis on communication planning/analysis and exposure to print and non-print media strategies.
• Ability to study complex data and broad business strategy and convert into practical, creative and effective communication strategies.
• Highly proficient analytical, problem-solving, organization, creativity, grammar, writing and human relations/relation management skills.
• Directly related advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
• Directly related experience may offset degree requirements.

Job Specific Information:

• Strong writing skills.
• Ability to interpret complex operational information and adapt to digestible messaging for large audiences.
• Ability to confidently advise senior executives and work collaboratively across departments.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:

• Experience working closely with C-suite executives.
• Experience developing communications strategy and campaigns that have resulted in measurable results.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive projects with professionalism and organization.

Work Location:

• Position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN and candidates must live within a reasonable commutable distance. This position is hybrid, meaning that employees must be onsite as directed by leadership but allows team members flexibility to work from home otherwise.
