Commercial Strategy Specialist

Position Overview Airswift is looking for a Commercial Strategy Specialist III to support a major client in Houston, TX on a 10-month contract Schedule 9/8 This position sits within a large international oil and gas and chemicals business that applies advanced technology to improve production and access hard-to-reach reserves. Comm Strategy Specialist III will support commercial activity in a setting that works closely with engineers, technicians, professionals, Legal, Audit, HES, AP and vendor representative. Comm Strategy Specialist III will play a central part in developing and implementing commercial strategies, supporting sourcing activity, and helping manage contracts and commercial relationships. Comm Strategy Specialist III will contribute to cost improvement, supplier engagement, and the delivery of commercial outcomes for assigned categori Responsibilities ies:Conduct market research and analyse competitor data to support commercial strategy developm ent.Develop, negotiate and manage contracts, including master service agreements, commercial terms and purchase ord ers.Support vendor selection and prequalification, including issuing requests for proposals, building evaluation matrices and assisting with proposal assessm ent.Maintain regular communication with vendors to assess capacity, competencies and cost competitiven ess.Monitor assigned contracts to ensure suppliers comply with agreed terms and conditi ons.Support invoicing queries and work with AP and the proponent to help ensure payment activities are completed in line with agreeme nts.Use SAP and Ariba to manage the contract life and related sourcing documentat ion.Participate in supplier performance meetings and identify opportunities to reduce overall c Requirements ents:Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Distribution or Supply Chain Manage ment.Strong contract analysis, drafting and negotiation sk ills.Strong communication skills and ability to communicate thoughts in a clear, concise, coherent ma nner.Strong time management skills, highly organized, and detailed orie nted.Strong analytical and problem solving sk ills.Strong cross-functional communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal sk ills.Strong knowledge of basic analytical and Microsoft Office software prog rams.Demonstrated ability to work independently, decisiveness, and sound judg ment.Must be comfortable with change in all its facet and be to help assist others through ch ange.Knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes (prefer red).Systems - SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Spot fire.5-10 yrs. of experience working in the oil and gas industry with a technical backgr ound.Operator and production experience is needed as well.SAP/Ariba, spend/cost analysis, RFP experience along with a bachelor's de #J-18808-Ljbffr Airswift
