CMM Programmer

We are seeking a dedicated CMM Programmer for a full-time, on-site position in Santa Ana, CA. This role requires a motivated individual to join our day shift team (5:30am-2pm) in a dynamic machine shop environment. The CMM Programmer will play a crucial role in quality control by conducting inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure all products meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Identify areas for improvement and communicate quality issues with team members and management.
• Write CMM programs from customer-supplied.stp and Catia files using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.
• Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as surface plates, height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and profilometers.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
• Write AS9100 First Article Reports and integrate with Net Inspect.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.
• Experience in CMM programming and operation.
• Ability to write CMM programs from.stp and Catia files.
• Proficiency in writing AS9100 First Article Reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience working with aerospace products strongly preferred.
• Firm understanding and demonstrated use of shop math.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to conduct and participate in cause and corrective action investigations.

Work Environment

Work in a mid-size machine shop with around 45 current staff members and growing. The machining team consists of about 25 members, including 4-5 programmers. The facility includes departments for deburring, quality, and shipping, fostering a collaborative and well-rounded work environment.

This is a permanent position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

Pay and Benefits
