**Experience Required:** - 2 years of experience required - Previous Charge and Teaching Hospital Experience preferred - Previous Charge Experience: Preferred **Certifications Required:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) **Skills Required:** - Work Settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry on-unit and remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams - Cardiovascular: Post Cardiac, Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery - Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols - Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management - Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure - IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs - MEDICATIONS: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips (no titration), PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips - Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) - Orthopedics: Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements - Plastics: Surgical drains - Respiratory: Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management - Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac **Skills Preferred:** - IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports - Oncology: Monitoring Chemotherapy **Charting System Experience Preferred:** - Epic **Licensure:** - Must have both Kansas and Missouri or compact license at time of submission **Additional Requirements:** - Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facility as needed - No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius - Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler.
