Title: Laboratory Research Technician

Type of Placement: Temp to Hire

Shift: 1st Shift 8:00am-4:00pm Monday - Friday

Pay/Pay Range: $25.00hourly

Medical technology company based in Bedford, MA, developing advanced diagnostic devices and healthcare technology. The company focuses on innovative, high-precision products used in medical and specialized applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Laboratory Research Technician is responsible for supporting research and development activities for company projects, including laboratory operations, preparation of reagents, and execution of experiments and assays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

DUTIES:

• Conduct experiments and assays following established protocols.
• Prepare buffers and reagents.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration records are kept up to date.
• Meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Support research and development activities.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
• Maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Follow applicable medical-device manufacturing and quality-system requirements.
• Appropriate use of PPE and relevant safety systems and policies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organization and time-management skills,
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to learn new laboratory techniques and equipment.

Environmental Conditions:

Work is performed indoors in a clean, climate-controlled assembly area with normal room temperatures, low to moderate noise from equipment, good lighting, and adequate ventilation.

Physical Capabilities:

Frequently required to perform actions stooping, bending, balancing, grasping, standing, sitting, walking, opening, removing, sorting, moving, and handling of objects up to 45lbs.
