Key Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Solution Advisory
- Define and document functional and non-functional technical requirements.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into practical technology solutions.
- Recommend tailored IT solutions based on business objectives, technical requirements, and industry practices.
- Evaluate technology alternatives, options, advantages, disadvantages, and potential operational risks.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify gaps and develop appropriate solutions.
Technical Strategy, Risk & Cost Analysis
- Research and evaluate emerging technology trends and determine their applicability to enterprise environments.
- Assess opportunities to upgrade, modernize, and optimize legacy and current technology systems.
- Evaluate solution options based on cost, benefits, technical feasibility, implementation complexity, and operational impact.
- Identify technical, operational, security, and implementation risks associated with proposed solutions.
- Analyze cross-system dependencies and potential impacts of technology changes.
- Support technology strategy and solution architecture activities.
Enterprise Architecture & Systems Analysis
- Evaluate legacy and modern enterprise architectures.
- Assess cloud, on-premises, and hybrid technology environments and integration points.
- Analyze enterprise workflows, applications, infrastructure, data, and security considerations.
- Conduct gap analyses and feasibility assessments to support technology decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Business Process & Stakeholder Engagement
- Translate complex business processes into actionable technical requirements and solutions.
- Facilitate discussions with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities.
- Present technical findings, recommendations, risks, and cost considerations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Prepare technical assessments, solution options, recommendations, and supporting documentation.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support technology initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within an IT department or IT consulting environment.
- Broad exposure to enterprise technology areas including infrastructure, software, security, and data.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting technical and business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate technology solutions and provide technical option appraisals.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, architecture, workflows, and technology integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical risks, trade-offs, and financial considerations to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in external IT consulting or management consulting engagements.
- Experience supporting IT security audits, Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise, public sector, or regulated technology environments.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, system modernization, or technology optimization initiatives.
- Experience with cloud, hybrid, and on-premises enterprise environments.
- Experience with business process modeling, gap analysis, and feasibility studies.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
