The Opportunity:
OBI Creative is seeking a Manager, Media Strategy & Planning to lead OBIs media practice through strategic planning, performance oversight, and team leadership. Reporting to the VP, Integrated Marketing, youll guide integrated paid media strategy, oversee the health of client accounts, develop a talented team of media buyers, and serve as OBIs primary strategic contact for key media platforms and vendors.
What Youll Do:
Media Strategy & Planning: Lead integrated paid media strategy by aligning audience insights, business objectives, and budget investments across digital and traditional channels. Guide annual planning, campaign recommendations, and channel allocation to deliver measurable business results.
Media Performance & Account Oversight: Provide strategic oversight across all media accounts by monitoring campaign performance, reviewing dashboards, and guiding optimization decisions.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a talented team of media buyers by providing strategic guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Platform Partnerships & Innovation: Serve as OBIs primary strategic contact for key media partners. Build strong relationships, evaluate emerging capabilities, and introduce new opportunities and best practices that strengthen OBIs media practice.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with creative, engagement strategy, digital, and client services teams to ensure paid media strategies align with broader campaign goals and business objectives.

Requirements:
What Were Looking For:
Strategic Media Expertise: 7+ years of progressive experience in media strategy, planning, or buying, with demonstrated success developing integrated paid media strategies across digital and traditional channels.
Leadership & Team Development: Experience leading, coaching and developing media professionals while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth. Passion for building stronger strategists, not just stronger campaigns.
Performance & Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance, identify optimization opportunities, and guide data-driven decisions across multiple client accounts.
Integrated Paid Media Expertise: Deep understanding of todays paid media ecosystem, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, streaming, and traditional media. Comfortable leading integrated planning conversations across channels.
Programmatic & DSP Experience: Hands-on experience with demand-side platforms (DSPs) and programmatic media strategy, with the ability to guide best practices and support team development.
Client Leadership & Communication: Ability to present media strategy and performance insights clearly to clients and internal stakeholders, building trust and serving as a confident advisor.
Industry Curiosity: A passion for staying ahead of media trends, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer behaviors while continuously advancing media capabilities.
