Facility: Ascension St. Vincent, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Ascension St. Vincent Carmel. Responsibilities In early 2025 we transitioned to a brand new state‑of‑the‑art Women’s and Children’s tower featuring 109 private NICU rooms on Ascension St. Vincent’s main campus. Neonatologists cover a 16‑bed Level III NICU at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel Hospital and support NNPs covering a nearby regional hospital Level II nursery via telehealth. NICUs admit over 1,000 newborns each year and hospitals average 5,000 deliveries annually, with a high proportion of high‑risk deliveries and referrals from our maternal‑fetal OB providers. NICUs are supported by a full range of pediatric subspecialties and surgeons. Clinical service for all neonates admitted to the Level IV and III neonatal intensive care units. Primary day‑time attending coverage in NICU at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent Carmel. In‑house night call at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and Ascension St. Vincent Carmel. Oversight of pediatric residents and mid‑level providers including NNP, PA and PNP. Attendance of high‑risk delivery service and consultation with high‑risk mothers on the obstetric service. Multiple opportunities for work in quality improvement and involvement in Vermont Oxford Network. Participation in teaching curricula for medical students, pediatric residents, and advanced practice providers (NNPs and PAs). Faculty appointments within the IU School of Medicine and/or Marian University School of Osteopathic Medicine are available. Competitive compensation with benefits. Requirements Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross acceptable). Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), Doctor of Optometry (OD), or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.
