Senior Software Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the finance industry, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting innovative payment solutions and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Location: Remote(EST) Contract on W2 What's the Job? Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for payment processing systems. Implement RESTful APIs using industry best practices with tools like Jersey and Swagger. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Utilize Java, AKKA, and reactive programming techniques to build efficient applications. Participate in automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes. What's Needed? Proven experience in applications development with Java Standard Edition and Java Enterprise Edition. Strong understanding of microservices architecture, event sourcing, CQRS, and eventual consistency. Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and Postgres. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Mockito and Cucumber. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and container orchestration with Kubernetes. What's in it for me?
