React UX/UI Designer/Developer

Category: Web Development - Full Time

The primary goal of the candidate will be to help build and maintain new web applications replacing existing applications that deliver atomically structured, version-controlled UI components utilizing modern tools and processes.

CPA will require the candidate to work on the following initiatives and will perform advanced analysis/programming tasks such as:

• Participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development and code review.
• Providing UI component and application-level architecture utilizing React.js and Redux for frontend development and state management for reusability/extensibility.
• Writing light-weight client-side UI architecture for web applications and service layers to create fast, easy-to-use, high volume experiences with security, compliance, and accessibility as primary requirements.
• Creating wireframes, designing and developing prototypes and UI proof-of-concepts
• Designing new responsive web application templates using wireframes and graphics.
• Providing guidance and detailed explanations to existing development staff on approaches and philosophies regarding elements and components that comprise the digital user experience across platforms.

• 7 - Required - Experience with interactive design processes and guidelines including current web accessibility standards.

• 7 - Required - Experience with code reviews and in-depth code analysis

• 3 - Required - Experience with Agile development experience with Scrum, Kanban
• 2 - Preferred - Experience working with enterprise software solutions
• 2 - Preferred - Experience with knowledge transfer to junior level web developers
• 2 - Preferred - Working knowledge with Figma or related UI wireframe/prototype development tools
• 2 - Preferred - Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
• 2 - Preferred - Experience with Confluence
• 2 - Preferred - Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint

Work Hours: Candidate must be available to work 8 to 5 Central Standard Time. Alternative work hours must be pre-approved by the Direct Supervisor.

Onsite Requirement: Candidate will be working remotely since most contractors are teleworking. Onsite work will be very limited and must be pre-approved by the Direct Supervisor.

Support Requirement: Candidate may be required to provide support to an on-call programmer.

Must be able to:

• work with Business Customers, Section Managers, Project Managers, Agile Product Owners, Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a professional and collaborative manner to define strategies and implementation approaches.
• develop reusable/extensible UI components utilizing React.JS and Redux for frontend development and state management.
• design new responsive web application templates using wireframes and graphics.
• perform in-depth code reviews and analysis.
• write unit tests using Jest, Enzyme
• write Webpack configuration files
• develop processes and procedures for Application Services.
• work independently in a team environment with local and remote teams

Must possess:

• knowledge of: software development methodologies Agile and Scrum
• problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary
• solid understanding of decoupled architecture and strive for lightweight client-side interfaces.
• strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
