Human Resources Manager
Shadow Systems
The HR Manager is responsible for all day-to-day human resources operations, including recruiting, onboarding, training coordination, employee relations, compliance, and records management. This is a highly hands‑on, floor‑visible role that supports a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will help build and reinforce a culture of excellence, safety, and accountability while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage full‑cycle recruiting: job postings, interviews, background checks, and hiring coordination. Collaborate with department leaders to define staffing needs and support workforce planning. Oversee new hire onboarding, ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and effective integration into the company. HR Administration Maintain and update employee files (active, terminated, medical, training, disciplinary). Process employee changes (hiring, promotions, terminations) in HR systems and with external partners. Support benefits administration, time‑off tracking, and employee record accuracy. Compliance & Policy Management Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and industry‑specific regulations (FMLA, OSHA, ATF, ITAR). Manage drug screening programs, workplace postings, and incident reporting documentation. Assist with internal audits and support documentation for external reviews (ATF, OSHA). Employee Relations & Culture Serve as a resource for employee concerns, feedback, and conflict resolution. Support efforts to sustain a respectful, high‑performance, team‑oriented culture. Work closely with the Compliance Supervisor to promote workplace safety and positive morale. Training & Development Coordinate and schedule required compliance and safety training. Track completion of job‑specific and cross‑functional training programs. Support leadership in developing performance management and career development processes. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). 3–5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (firearms or defense industry a plus). Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, etc.). High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism in handling sensitive information. Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS systems preferred. Working Conditions This is a full‑time, on‑site position in a manufacturing environment. Regular presence on the production floor is expected to maintain visibility and team alignment.
