About the Role:
Lollipop Land in Rigby, ID is looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners in a fun, supportive environment. Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities
- Supervise and engage children in a safe, structured classroom environment
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development in young learners
- Assist with daily routines including meals, nap time, and transitions
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding child progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space
- Observe and document children's behavior and developmental milestones
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; early childhood education coursework preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or classroom setting
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
