Social Media Strategist

Social Media Insights and Trends:

• Monitor social media trends, audience behaviors, and industry insights to inform content strategy across channels and audiences
• Analyze performance metrics per post and deliver actionable insights to management to enhance ministry engagement
• Stay current on emerging social media features and best practices to ensure Joni and Friends remains at the forefront of digital trends
• Research and identify suitable partners for collaboration, considering audience demographics, brand alignment, and engagement potential

Content Creation:

• Collaborate with the Marketing team to execute comprehensive social media strategies that boost brand awareness and engagement
• Review available ministry collateral and suggest content that aligns with current initiatives and trends
• Transform ministry impact stories into compelling social copy, graphics, and short-form video content

Reporting and Optimization:

• Provide reporting on social media performance and key metrics
• Offer insights for reach, engagement, and optimization recommendations

Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs

Qualifications:

• Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
• Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 2+ years experience creating social media content for an organization or public figure
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines
• Detail-oriented, committed to accuracy, a team player and self-starter who is flexible and able to work independently
• Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
• Proficient using social media platforms, Sprout Social, CapCut, Canva, Asana, and MS0365
• Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable

Physical Requirements:

This position primarily involves sedentary work in an office setting. The employee must be able to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and other standard office equipment, communicate clearly in person and over the phone, and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or reach to access files and supplies. The role may also require occasionally lifting or carrying items up to 20 pounds. Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment with standard lighting, temperature conditions, and moderate noise levels. Employees are expected to maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and ergonomic practices while performing all assigned duties. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

Compensation:

$21.50 - $24.00 per hour. This is a hybrid position, in office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, remote Wednesday and Friday.
