About the Position

Job Title: First Assist Profession: Surgical Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:45 - 17:15 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 2+ Years License: Not specified Certifications: CSTFA, CFA, RNFA Must-Have: Knowledge and skills to assist surgeons during various types of surgery including orthopedic trauma, orthopedic, spine, neuro, gynecological, general, robotics, and vascular surgery. Description: Position is for a First Assist in the operating room. The unit consists of 29 beds with patient ratios of 1:1. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Expected to work with normal operating room equipment, including 5 robots for Da Vinci surgery, Mako, and Velys. Documentation will be done using a specified electronic system. Scheduling is flexible, and call coverage is required. Floating to other areas may be necessary as per policy. Desired candidates should possess advanced skills for a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic trauma, neuro, orthopedic, spine, gynecology, urology, general surgery, robotics, vascular, pediatrics, ENT, plastics, podiatry, oral-maxillofacial, and eye trauma. Scrubs will be provided as part of the dress code. Unit-specific policies and guidelines will apply. Consideration will be given to the latest equipment and technology used in the unit, as well as the tenure and experience of the staff. This position was created to fill a vacancy.
