More about our team * 19-bed closed ICU * 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio * Physician coverage from Critical Care Physicians and Residency Physicians * Supportive, team‑based environment focused on high‑acuity patient care and professional growth How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: * Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. * Documents patient care provided. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. * Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. * Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. What we're looking for The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license. Associate's degree in nursing required.
