Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi robotic system and Level II trauma experience.

Job Details

• Operating Room unit within a Level I trauma hospital setting,
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM,
• 3-4 weekend shifts required within a 6-week matrix, which may fall on day, evening, or night shifts,
• On-call responsibilities include 2-3 calls within a 6-week matrix with a 30-minute response time requirement,
• Floating required as needed by the unit,
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), or 1 of 2 if contract spans only two,
• Must function independently across multiple surgical specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, and thoracic (excluding cardiac/open heart),
• Preference given to RNs who both scrub and circulate,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required, no license discrepancies accepted,
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only),
• Minimum 3 years of experience required, with at least 2 years post-orientation,
• Level II Trauma experience required (over 1 year), Level I Trauma experience preferred,
• Teaching hospital experience required,
• Epic charting system experience required,
• Must be proficient with the Da Vinci Xi robotic system with no need for refresher training; familiarity with the DV5 Da Vinci system is a bonus,
• Must be proficient in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology specialties,
• 1:1 patient ratio experience required,
• Previous travel experience preferred,

• Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff for fit before being sent to the hiring manager for final decision, followed by a manager interview,
• May provide care for COVID-positive patients,

• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, special scheduling or blocked scheduling requests cannot be accommodated,
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate,
• Travel pairs are permitted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
