Job Description Auto Body Technician responsible for meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore pre-accident condition. The technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, aligning with company KPIs and representing the Boyd Group brand. Key Responsibilities Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan. Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers. Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers for vehicle repair. Repair dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when needed. Realign car chassis and frames to address structural damage. Remove damaged sections of vehicles and replace them with new or aftermarket parts. Replace or repair glass and windshields as necessary. Replace or repair interior parts as required. Weld and attach parts into place. Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint or agreed‑upon equivalent. Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines. Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality standards are met. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer. Skills & Abilities Read job orders and work with minimal supervision. Collaborate effectively with other repairers in an auto body shop. Demonstrate thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods and procedures. Proficient ability to use tools required for the trade. Physical Demands Work safely in a noisy environment with odors present. Lifting ability up to 30 pounds at times. Visual inspection of vehicle damage under varying weather conditions. Bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting to perform repairs and inspections.
