Housing Specialist (Temporary)- Bronx, NY

LHH is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization seeking a temporary Housing Specialist to support its Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. This is an excellent opportunity to do meaningful work supporting veterans and individuals in need through housing stabilization and placement services.

The Housing Specialist will assist clients with housing readiness, eligibility assessments, housing searches, and placement into permanent housing opportunities across public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct housing eligibility assessments
• Assist clients with securing permanent housing
• Maintain affordable housing listings and community resources
• Build relationships with housing providers and real estate contacts
• Facilitate workshops and one-on-one housing support sessions
• Track housing placements and client follow-up activities

Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or 60 college credits required
• 2+ years of experience supporting low-income and/or homeless populations
• Knowledge of public and private low-income housing guidelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license required

Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20-$25/hour

This is a fully onsite temporary opportunity within a mission-driven organization making a direct impact in the community.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
