Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position located at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. The role involves providing high-quality care in a designated obstetric unit, supporting both routine and high-risk pregnancies. This position is ideal for experienced RNs with a compassionate approach to patient care, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current hospital-based L&D RN experience of at least 1 year; certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM-C or AWHONN)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with circulating C-sections and high-risk labor and delivery care
• Responsibilities include assisting with C-sections, labor inductions, and patient monitoring using Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, and CPN (GE) monitors
• Typical procedures performed on the unit include C-sections, inductions, AROM (Artificial Rupture of Membranes), IUPC (Intrauterine Pressure Catheter), Doppler assessments, and fetal monitoring
• The team maintains a supportive, collaborative environment with strong leadership and highly experienced staff, including many nurses with 20-40 years of tenure
• Additional unit features include self-scheduling, new equipment and technology, and a team nursing approach aimed at staff satisfaction
• Job duration: October 19, 2026, to January 18, 2027
