About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Med / Surg, Telemetry Nurse, Med-Surg Ortho Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license Certifications: CPR/BLS Must-Have: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Education verification required Description: We are seeking experienced RNs for our Medical Surgical units. The candidate must have a current nursing license and CPR/BLS certification. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and education verification is required. The role utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. The RN administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts. Documentation must be completed according to standards of care. The RN develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participation in department or unit performance improvement activities may be required. The RN utilizes clinical expertise to guide other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care. Critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience is essential, and the RN must appropriately escalate issues to the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
