Role
Growing professional services firm is seeking a client-focused accounting professional to support privately held businesses with financial reporting, accounting operations, and advisory services. This role combines hands-on accounting with client interaction, financial analysis, and process improvement, offering an opportunity to work directly with business owners and help improve financial performance and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Support client engagements involving financial reporting, compilations, reviews, management reporting, and outsourced accounting services.
- Research accounting guidance and assist with complex financial reporting and disclosure matters.
- Provide bookkeeping and general accounting support while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze financial results and communicate insights to clients to support business decisions and planning.
- Work directly with clients to gather financial information, resolve accounting issues, and improve reporting processes.
- Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
- Assist with process improvements and the development of more efficient accounting workflows.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA (or in the progress of obtaining a licensure) is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting, accounting advisory, or financial consulting.
- Experience with middle market privately held businesses on accounting and operational matters.
Working Situation
This is a hybrid working situation with 3 days in the office.
