Salesforce Platform Administrator II

About the Role
We are seeking a Salesforce Platform Administrator II to provide advanced system administration, platform support, configuration, and ongoing maintenance across a complex multi-org Salesforce environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong Salesforce administration experience, including user management, security, configuration, automation, reporting, and data quality. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, vendor partners, and internal Salesforce teams to deliver enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and maintain stable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce solutions.

Experience supporting Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily Salesforce administration, including user provisioning, profile and permission management, and security configuration.
• Implement small to medium-sized Salesforce enhancements, including:
  • Page layout updates
  • Flows
  • Process automation
  • Minor data model changes
  • Configuration enhancements
• Monitor and maintain data quality, including duplicate prevention, data hygiene, validation, and data integrity.
• Support Salesforce functionality across Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
• Troubleshoot user issues and coordinate escalation of complex technical concerns when necessary.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable Salesforce configuration solutions.
• Assist with release management, including sandbox preparation, testing coordination, and deployment support.
• Ensure Salesforce configuration, documentation, security, and administrative activities follow established governance and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with vendor teams and internal Salesforce teams to maintain consistency and alignment across multiple Salesforce environments.
• Create, update, and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Stay current with Salesforce platform releases, features, and best practices and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 3 years of professional Salesforce Administration experience.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce administration, including:
  • User and access management
  • Profiles and permission sets
  • Salesforce security
  • Object and field configuration
  • Flows and automation
  • Data management
  • Reports and dashboards
• Experience working in a multi-org Salesforce environment is highly preferred.
• Experience with Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Sales Cloud.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a complex enterprise environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and iterative delivery practices.

Certifications

• Salesforce Certified Administrator certification required.
• Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification required or must be obtained within an established timeframe.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting public sector, government, or highly regulated environments.
• Experience administering multiple Salesforce orgs.
• Experience with Salesforce governance, security, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Experience supporting Salesforce implementations, enhancements, and platform optimization.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into Salesforce solutions.
