As a WIC Nutritionist, you’ll empower participants with the knowledge and support they need to make healthy choices for themselves and their children. What You’ll Be Doing Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify participant needs Provide personalized nutrition education, counseling, and breastfeeding support Help families set and achieve realistic health and nutrition goals Tailor WIC food packages based on individual needs and guidelines Ensure accurate certification and compliance with program standards Collaborate with healthcare and social service providers through referrals Maintain accurate documentation using the CT-WIC system Promote breastfeeding as the preferred infant feeding method Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities What You Bring Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related field (advanced degree or dietetic internship may substitute for experience) At least 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or community setting (preferred) Strong computer and data entry skills Skills That Make You Shine: Excellent communication—both one‑on‑one and in group settings Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations Ability to educate, motivate, and connect with families Bonus Points If You Have: Experience in WIC or similar nutrition programs Certified Registered Dietitian (RD) credential Benefits Competitive pay and excellent benefits Diverse, multilingual team making real community impact Optimus is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees as protected by applicable federal and/or state law. #J-18808-Ljbffr
